NORTHERN FLIGHT- This photo was shot one early morning in April 2012. During April, the Sandhill cranes fly north to Alaska in great numbers. Once they reach the 49th state, they stop for a week or two in Palmer and Wasilla to rest and feed before their final push to their summer grounds located in the arctic north.
